“教書育人”是我們教師的使命。我們既要教書，又要育人。而第斯多惠說過“教學的藝術不在于傳授本領，而在于關于激勵、喚醒、鼓舞。”我對此深有體會。鄉鎮的教學工作，單單去研究如何進行教學還不行，我們更多的是主動積極地去爭取家庭教育和學校教育的緊密聯系，家長的教育意識畢竟不如城里的家長。而對于學生，我們更多的要給予關愛，尤其是一些比較“野”的學生，不容忽略某一個學生，要獨具慧眼地發現他們身上的潛能，鼓勵他們不斷主動探索，發揚民主精神。
在學生中樹立良好的教師形象，讓學生敬畏你。這算是成功了一半。既讓學生敬佩你，同時又畏懼你，可不是一件很容易的事情。前幾年，由于自己是年輕一線的老師，缺乏經驗，教學成績又不是很突出，雖然工作總是兢兢業業，可是在學生心目中，我總是不能讓學生像敬仰威望很高的同事那樣敬仰我。去年，我所任教的三年級的英語三率都居級組第一，一下子傳開后，校內校外都能看到很多信任和贊賞的目光。本學期接任了一個基礎很差的班級，因為有了好的教學成績學生都很服我，在教學中，我嚴格要求他們，樹立自己的威性，果然期末考試中收到了我意想不到的效果。
