《記承天寺夜游》是北宋著名文學家蘇軾創作的一篇散文，選自《東坡志林》卷一，寫于宋神宗元豐六年(1083年)，當時，作者正因“烏臺詩案”被貶謫到黃州任職。

　　元豐六年十月十二日夜，解衣欲睡，月色入戶，欣然起行。念無與為樂者，遂至承天寺尋張懷民。懷民亦未寢，相與步于中庭。庭下如積水空明，水中藻、荇(xìng)交橫(héng)，蓋竹柏影也。何夜無月?何處無竹柏?但少閑人如吾兩人者耳。

　　譯文

　　元豐六年十月十二日夜晚(或公元1083年十月十二日夜，可不譯)，(我)脫下衣服準備睡覺時，恰好看見月光透過窗戶灑入屋內，(于是我)高興地起床出門散步。想到沒有(可以與我)共同游樂的人，于是(我)前往承天寺尋找張懷民。張懷民也沒有睡，我們便一同在庭院中散步。庭院中充滿著月光，像積水充滿院落，清澈透明，水中的水藻、荇菜交橫錯雜，原來是竹子和柏樹的影子啊。哪一個夜晚沒有月光?(又有)哪個地方沒有松柏樹呢?只是缺少像我們兩個這樣(不汲汲于名利而又能從容流連光景)清閑的人罷了。
