　　Home is the place which we often need to build. In order to create a kind of warm and intimate atmosphere, we must respect and understand each other. As a member of the family, it is not right to demand perfection from each other. The proper way is to cultivate flexibility, patience, and sense of humor. Parents can be more open-minded and trust their children, and the children should understand their parents' pains. If we have spare time after supper, we may often communicate with each other and talk about what happened in the daytime. 　　Home education, or home schooling, is a phenomenon which is both old and now. It may seem to many like a strange idea, but years ago, it was the norm. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln both received their education at home. And there is a growing trend for children to be educated at home. An estimated two million American children, one source says, are taught in their own homes instead of going to regular schools. The number of support groups, magazines and other resources for home-schooling families is also on the rise. Being comparatively rare cases in China, home schooling is repeatedly reported as an attractive and promising alternative.

　　Parents who decide to home-school are not without reasons. Many may worry about the quality of education at regular schools. They want to tailor the education of their children to their intelligence and aptitude. They prefer to choose the subjects on their own. They also think caring parents make the best teachers. Studies show that many home-schooled children really do very well.Proven benefits of home schooling are obvious. But educating kids at home may not be the right choice for all families. It may not be practical, and dose not constitute an important approach to children education.

　　With computer aided education more and more available and effective, school education has advantages home education can never catch up with. No family has resources which is adequate for modern education. Parents, althoug they are most caring, cannot be competent and qualified as trained teachers. A most discouraging fact is that children taught at home and do not go out to schools will develop strange characteristics which will eventually hinder them when they go out to society. They are sure to lack ability and skills to cope with various intricate relationships which cannot not be acquired through home education environment. And they will end up as crippled.

　　As the matter stands, home education is not so important as to deserve more merit than is already exaggerated.

　　Days ago when I was doing my listening practice, I found my idea was quite different from the author’s. He insisted that family should be the first while I hold the opposite idea. Let me explain my opinion step by step.

　　前幾天當(dāng)我在做聽力練習(xí)的時候，我發(fā)現(xiàn)我的想法跟作者的是非常不同的。他堅(jiān)持認(rèn)為，家庭應(yīng)該是第一個，我持相反的觀點(diǎn)。讓我一步一步的解釋我的觀點(diǎn)。

　　Drawing a conclusion to which one should be the first, career or family, we should depend on the following two aspects: Which one will do more to your life-long dreams and value; And which one promotes the development of society. It’s normal that there always be a conflict between career and family. However we should have an objective comment. That is which one gives more contribution. I wonder how can a family be permanent without the guarantee of career.

　　得出事業(yè)和家庭哪個更重要的結(jié)論，我們應(yīng)該取決于以下兩個方面：哪個對你一生的夢想和價值影響更大；哪個更能促進(jìn)社會的發(fā)展。在工作和家庭之間有沖突是很正常的。但是我們應(yīng)該有一個客觀的評論。那是哪一個付出的貢獻(xiàn)更多。我想知道如果沒有事業(yè)保障，一個家庭如何能永久的存在。

　　Talking about achieving our value, we ought to combine it with our needs. What we need includes three sides: The need of existance, the need of enjoying and the need of development. At this time, we must have a clear mind that career or family which one has more ability to satisfy these, which one is related to these from the beginning to the end. There is no doubt that the answer is career. Referring to the value of society, we automatically think of work and creation. I do agree that family have something to do with these sometimes, but the productivity it brings to us is far less than what the career gives. What is the resource of the develpoping society? Of course, productivity. And through which the improvement of productivity can be shown. The answer is career as well.

　　淺談實(shí)現(xiàn)我們的價值，我們應(yīng)該把它與我們的需要結(jié)合起來。我們的需要包括三個方面：生存的需要，享受和發(fā)展的需要。在這個時候，我們必須有一個清醒的頭腦去判斷工作或者家庭哪個更能由始至終的滿足這些。毫無疑問，答案是工作。說到社會價值，我們很自然的會想到工作和創(chuàng)新。我同意家庭對于這些是有幫助的，但它給我們帶來的生產(chǎn)能力遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)比不上工作給我們帶來的。

　　When asked what is the final destination for our career, you may said because you want to support a big family. I think maybe this answer belongs to one of our destination, but not the final one. We pay more attention to our career mainly because we desire to do something to meet the need of our society.

　　If a country wants to be more powerful, it needs creative thought and continuous work, which obviously comes from career. As our country becoming stronger, we become stronger, too. In the contrary, if we never put career first, how can a family exist without the support of the society.

　　Above is my statement for my opinion. Different people have different viewpoint. Some people, especially ladies, always think it’s their duty to do the housework and they are fated to be the housewives. Never will I agree. Doing more housework is OK for ladies but ladis should have independence. As a lady in 21th. Century, we ought to spare no effort to gain our position in the society. Therefore, I won’t get married until I have an achievement in my career!!
