　　“唉！真是的！煮熟的鴨子都飛了！”一想到昨天的英語單詞對抗賽，我就懊悔不已，痛心疾首。昨天到底發生了什么事呢？所有的男同胞都準備接受“噩耗”吧！嗚嗚……

　　昨天英語課上，學完單詞后，Ms.劉突然問了一句：“誰現在能把單詞全部背下來？”這時，我想舉手，可又不大確定，到底舉還是不舉？這……我的右手搖擺不定，舉了一半又趕快縮了回來。要是背錯了怎么辦呢？我急得如熱鍋上的螞蟻，可不能讓男生丟臉??！此刻，我環顧四周，好險！還沒有女生舉手。還是趕快抓緊時間背一遍吧！我眼睛緊緊地盯住電視屏幕，心中默默地背單詞，我心急如焚，生怕一位“女中豪杰”挺身而出，那男生可就丟臉了！

　　我心里默背到一半，卻半路殺出個“程咬金”，“女俠”——鐘瑩同學把手舉得筆直，什么？！我抓緊時間，把單詞都瞄了一遍，可我還是不敢舉手，要是背錯了……Ms.劉正在對我們男生“冷嘲熱諷”，一會兒說我們沒用，一會兒說我們不配做男生，連女生都比不過。唉呀！哪位“英勇之士”趕快舉手吧！我黃樂池乞求、懇求、央求、請求各位了！我們男生丟不起這份臉??！

　　Ms.劉接著又刺激地說道：“沒有哪個男生有膽量上嗎？我倒計時了：5、4、3、2……不行了，不行了，我“黃某”今天豁出去了！呀！我毅然舉起了手，盯著鐘瑩，眼里充滿了“殺氣”！

　　“好，”Ms.劉說，“那就請Steven和Lisa上來聽寫單詞！”

　　“黃樂池，加油！”“黃樂池，加油！”我鼓起勇氣，走上講臺，拿好粉筆后，“準備作戰”！這是一場男、女生之間的'“生死較量”，這關系到男生的榮譽，一定要勝利，我給自己打氣。

　　準備了幾分鐘后，比賽開始了，Ms.劉拿起書本，準備開始念單詞。我抓粉筆的那只手顫抖個不停，頭上也冒出了冷汗，我開始悔恨自己，不應該舉手才對。

　　“別害怕！你的成績又不比鐘瑩差！”我為自己加油。

　　“對，我的成績不比她差。有什么好害怕的呢？”

　　“激動的?！?Ms.劉報起了第一個單詞，我毫不怠慢，當即在黑板上寫下“exciting”。在等待中的我心慌意亂，生怕下一個單詞會如老鷹叼小羊一般把我叼離勝利之谷，把男生的榮譽叼走。“老鷹敢叼我，我就拿羊腿踢它！”我鼓勵自己道，“準備下一場戰斗！”隨后，無論Ms.劉報什么樣的單詞我都對應自如，我逐漸找到了信心。

　　“最后一個”， Ms.劉期待這個決定勝負的單詞早點出現，“機票、或者火車票?！薄癥eah,”我心中暗自慶幸，“‘戰斗’要結束了！”哈！哈！票嘛，是……票是什么？是什么?。∥曳赋盍耍滞兄掳?，苦苦地思索著。我往右邊看了看，發現鐘瑩早已寫完了，她正歡呼雀躍呢！怎么辦呢？放棄？不行，堅決不行！為了男生的榮譽，我得奮戰到最后一秒?？墒恰保糜⒄Z怎么說呢？

　　“10、9、8、7……”糟糕，Ms.劉開始倒計時了。唉呀！票啊票，你用英語到底怎么說??？我驚慌失措，腦子里亂得很，仿佛有二十只老鼠——百爪撓心?！?、2、1、0！倒計時結束。”Ms.劉宣布比賽結束。什么？！當我聽到0時，如同五雷轟頂，憤怒不已！男生，男生竟然輸了！

　　這一切，這一切都怪我！我為什么沒有把單詞背熟？！可悲，好可悲，戰無不勝的男生竟然輸了。望著歡慶勝利的女生，我無地自容，恨不得挖個地洞鉆進去！放學的路上，英語課上的事情一直在我的腦子里轉著。望著灰蒙蒙的天，我思緒萬千……

　　Great changes haven taken place in our studies since our school began to carry on exploring learning strategies. In the past, teachers kept on explaining the language points in class. We students just listened and took some notes. So we didn’t have enough time to think about problems by ourselves. We had to do much homework after class.

　　But now teachers show the problems to us first, then we discuss them for a while in pairs or groups. We try to find out the ways of solving problems, through which we’ve learnt how to cooperate with others. After class, we can have different activities. For example, we can read books we like, go to the library or use the Internet for useful information and so on.

　　In a word, exploring learning strategies is very good for us. Now we are the owners of our study and we’re happy.
