　　Canton Tower,as a new landmark,located in the new CBD and the Pearl River landscape axis,lying in the geometric center of Guangzhou city.Canton Tower is 125 meters away from the south bank of Pearl River,facing the Haixinsha Island and Zhujiang New Town.In the year 2004,Information Based Architecture won the international competition,in which 13 of the world's largest architectural offices participated,with a stunning and challenging design.IBA collaborated with Arup,the global design and business consulting firm developed the concept design.In later stages,IBA cooperated mainly with the local Chinese offices of Arup and a Local Design Institute.
