場景一:(將軍走進家門,女看護多門而走,孩子們正在吵吵鬧鬧,女管家對他們毫無辦法,束手無策。只好與將軍商量另請一個看護老師。) 道具:行李,孩子們的玩具等。
將軍:Good afternoon teacher!Where are you going?
女教師:I’m leaving, Captain. I have to go.
將軍:(將軍驚訝狀)Why? What’s the matter?
女教師:(搖頭苦笑)I have no idea with the children. They are too naughty. I’m sorry. I have to go. Bye!
(將軍進門,看見孩子們正在吵鬧,管家毫無辦法。馬上臉色一變,哨聲一響,孩子們馬上停止吵鬧,乖乖地列隊,等待父親的訓斥)
將軍:(吹哨)Attention!
孩子們:one! two!
將軍:At ease! (臉色凝重狀) What are you doing just now? The teacher has gone!
孩子們:Sorry! Dad!
大女兒:We don’t like her.
其他孩子:Yes! Dad, We don’t like her at all.
將軍:Shut up! Can’t you be quiet? Get out of here , go back to your room and don’t talk any more. Attention! Turn left! Go!
(孩子們下,管家上前建議將軍另請教師)
管家:Captain! We should invite another teacher.
將軍:Yes! We should. You do that for me.
管家:Yes! Sir!
(管家下,將軍搖頭,嘆氣,下)
場景二:(瑪麗亞提著行李,拿著吉他,邊唱歌,邊蹦跳著來到將軍家門,敲門。管家開門,將軍要求瑪麗亞像他那樣嚴格要求孩子。孩子們一開始不喜歡瑪麗亞,并作弄瑪麗亞。)
瑪麗亞:(提著行李,作失魂狀,敲門)Hello! Any body home?
管家:(管家出場,開門,問)Yes! I’m coming! Who’s that?
瑪麗亞:My name is Maria. Is this Captain’s home? I’m the new teacher here.
管家:OK! Nice to meet you . Come in, please.
瑪麗亞:Nice to meet you too! Thanks a lot!
管家:Captain! The new teacher is here.
將軍:(出場,神情嚴肅地看著瑪麗亞)
管家:(向將軍介紹)Captain! This is Maria. Our new teacher. And this is Captain.
將軍:OK! Maria. As you know I’m a captain. I hope you will be strict to the children as I do. This is the signal. 吹哨,孩子們列隊出來。Boys and girls! This is your new teacher. You should obbey the teacher’s order. Understand? Now introduce yourself to the teacher.
大女兒:I’m Liesl.
大兒子:My name is Friedrich.
二女兒:I’m Louisa.
三女兒:I’m Brigitta.
小兒子:My name is Kurt.
四女兒:I’m Marta.
小女兒:Hello! My name is Gretl. Nice to meet you.

將軍:Children! I’m back. Children! I’m back. Hello! Where are they?

將軍:Singing? How can you sing? Who teach you?
孩子們:Maria teach us. See……
