面試后的英文感謝信(一)

　　Towards the end of your interview you should have asked the key question about what happens next. Something like “How soon will you make a decision on whom you plan to hire?" This will have given you a time frame; you want to appear enthusiastic but not annoying. If they expect to make a decision within the next week, you need to follow up in a couple of days; for a longer time it is best to wait a week.

　　到面試結(jié)束的時(shí)候，你應(yīng)該詢問(wèn)的一個(gè)重要問(wèn)題是：接下來(lái)會(huì)怎么樣?比如說(shuō)，“你們決定錄用一個(gè)人的時(shí)間要多長(zhǎng)?”問(wèn)這類問(wèn)題可以給你自己一個(gè)時(shí)間范圍，而且你體現(xiàn)了你的滿腔熱情，而不是滿心焦急。如果面試公司會(huì)在下周內(nèi)做決定，你需要在接下來(lái)兩三天內(nèi)保持跟進(jìn);如果面試公司需要更長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，那你的跟進(jìn)時(shí)間差不多在一個(gè)星期左右。

　　One thing you should do, immediately after the interview, is send a thank you email or letter. Send it the same day or, at the latest, on the following day to the person or persons who interviewed you; remember to ask for businecards before you leave the interview. It is a good idea to do this even if the job doesn’t really interest you. In it you should show your appreciation for the employers’ interest in you and streyour interest in them.

　　面試結(jié)束后，緊跟著你就需要做的一件事，就是發(fā)出感謝信，用郵件或信件方式都可以。在面試的同一天，最遲第二天，要寄到面試官手中;離開(kāi)面試考場(chǎng)的時(shí)候，記得向面試官索要名片，以確保得到正確的郵箱地址。哪怕這份工作不是你最理想的，寄出感謝信也是不可缺少的一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)。在信中，需要流露感激之情，原因是雇主對(duì)你感興趣，同時(shí)也要強(qiáng)調(diào)，你對(duì)他們也很期待。

　　Remind them of your qualifications, mention anything important you might have forgotten in the interview and give them any follow up information they might have asked for. These thank you letters can be typed, handwritten or emailed. The most formal is a hard copy, typed letter and it will make you stand out among the other applicants; remember to use standard pa-pe-r with a matching envelope.If the employer is leformal a hand written note is more personal.

　　讓他們注意到你的資格證書(shū)，提及一切你在面試過(guò)程中忘記說(shuō)到的重要信息，寫(xiě)上他們需要的跟進(jìn)信息。感謝信可以用打印稿，手寫(xiě)稿，或電子郵件的'方式寄出。最正式的，是電子打印稿，打印稿會(huì)使你在一堆申請(qǐng)人中脫穎而出;記住要使用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)信紙和規(guī)格相符的信封。如果和雇主不是那么正式關(guān)系的話，手寫(xiě)的感謝信會(huì)顯得更親切一些。

　　Post it quickly or even have it hand delivered; faxing is another possibility but make sure you have your interviewer’s correct fax number. Email is fine, especially if this is how you have been contacting up to now or you know a hard copy wouldn’t get to him or her in time. It is advisable to write the note in your word processor, where spell and grammar check will get rid of any typos. Then copy and paste it to your email. Whether you use regular mail, fax or email depends on which medium you feel is best for each interview situation. If you receive a job offer before you have had a chance to send a note; thank the employer for both the interview and the offer. You can also accept or decline the offer.

　　寫(xiě)完后，盡快寄出，或者直接親手遞交;傳真也是可取的方式，首先要確定你有雇主的傳真號(hào)。如果你一直用電子郵件方式和對(duì)方聯(lián)系，發(fā)電子郵件也是可以的，或者當(dāng)你則認(rèn)為打印稿不能及時(shí)到達(dá)雇主手中，這個(gè)方式是不錯(cuò)的選擇。在word文檔中打出感謝信是個(gè)好方法，這樣可以避免拼寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤和語(yǔ)法問(wèn)題，然后拷貝粘貼到電子郵件中。使用常規(guī)郵件，傳真，或者電子郵件，取決于哪種方式最合適當(dāng)時(shí)的情況。如果在你發(fā)出感謝信之前，你就得到了工作，你需要在感謝信中向雇主表達(dá)對(duì)面試和工作的感激之情。當(dāng)然你可以選擇接受或者拒絕工作邀請(qǐng)。

　　Your follow up phone call depends on the time frame you deduced from your interview question. Let’s say five days after the interview you decide to call. Ask to speak with the person who interviewed you. You should be polite and professional, restate your interest in the position but don’t sound desperate! Ask if they need any further information and if you are still under consideration. Find out when you can expect a final decision.

　　什么時(shí)候該打跟進(jìn)電話詢問(wèn)進(jìn)展呢?這取決于你從面試官那里得來(lái)的答案了。比方說(shuō)，面試后五天，你打算打個(gè)電話詢問(wèn)情況。你需要求和面試官通話，態(tài)度禮貌，措辭合理，不要流露出焦急的情緒。詢問(wèn)他們是否需要更多信息，問(wèn)清楚目前你是否在就職考慮之中，以及多久能得到最終答復(fù)。

　　It’s possible the company may have specifically asked you not to contact them but to wait for them to come back to you. In this case ask when you can expect to hear from them. If you have heard nothing, wait a couple of days and then call or email the interviewer. Ask politely about the status of your job application.

　　公司也有可能會(huì)讓你不要再聯(lián)系他們，而是等他們給你答復(fù)。這種情況下，問(wèn)一下什么時(shí)候可以得到他們的通知。等兩天之后，你可以再打電話或發(fā)郵件詢問(wèn)面試官，禮貌的詢問(wèn)你的狀況。
