Directions:
You have just come back from Canada and found a music CD in your luggage that you forgot to return to Bob, your landlord there. Write him a letter to
1) make an apology, and
2) suggest a solution.
You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.
Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead.
Do not write the address.
I am writing to express my apology to you for my failing to return your music CD before I came back.
I am writing this letter to express my apology to you for my failing to??
中段:Several days ago, I borrowed it when I lived in your house. Unfortunately, just now I found it in my luggage. I was in such a hurry that I forgot to return it to you. I will send it to you by post or express as soon as possible. If necessary, I will compensate for any troubles it may cause.
Once again, I feel so sorry for any inconvenience caused. Please accept my apologies.
1. I would like to give you my apology for...
2. I must apologize to you for?
3. I express my regret at being unable to do...
4. Please accept my sincere apology for...
5. I hope that the settlement of the matter will meet your wishes.
6. I sincerely hope you can understand that I offended you unintentionally.
7. We assure you that such a matter will never happen again.
8. I do hope you will understand me and excuse me for my carelessness.
Dear Bob,
I am writing to express my apology to you for my failing to return your music CD before I came back.
Several days ago, I borrowed it when I lived in your house. Sincerely yours,
Li Ming
